(a) Total length of Bengaluru – Chennai Expressway is 262 km passing through three states viz. Karnataka (71 Km), Andhra Pradesh (85 Km) and Tamil Nadu (106 Km). Entire expressway has been split into 10 construction packages, out of which work is in progress in 6 packages (151 Km) and remaining 4 packages have also been awarded.
(b) The present status of construction of roads connecting Krishnapatnam Port is as under:

2 Construction of 4 laning of Chillakuru cross road to East Kanupuru (Part-1) from Km 131.500 of NH-16 to Km23+770 including flyover and approaches on NH-16 (Length 1.050 Km) and six laning of East Kanupuru to Port South Gate (Part-2) from Km 0+000 to Km 11+245 (Package – II) 36.06 Proposal is in Pre-appraisal stage
3 Construction of Greenfield road connecting North & South Industrial cluster of Khadaleru Creek near Krishnapatnam Port at Thamminapatnam (Part -1 ) to mollur near Muthukur (Km 0+000 to Km 16+046) and (Part-2) extension of dedicated port road on NH-67 from Km 18+000 to Km 19+000 (Package – III) 15.95 Proposal is in Pre-appraisal stage
4 Construction of six laning from Naidupet (Greenfield) to East Kanupuru (Km 57+046 to Km 91+910 (Package – IV) 34.88 Proposal is in Pre-appraisal stage
5 Four laning of road from Nellore city to Krishnapatnam Port to NH-5 (Package – V) 22.60 Proposal is in Pre-appraisal stage
(c) With regard to other major highway projects in Andhra Pradesh, work in 3 projects with total length of 80 Km is in progress and agreement has also been signed in another 7 projects with total length of 193 Km.
