(a) whether Government propose to set up any National Exhibition Centre for Development of Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the country including in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States; and
(b) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) & (b) : The Department provides financial assistance for setting up of export infrastructure including International Exhibition Centres Trade Promotion Centres, under the ‘Trade Infrastructure for Export Scheme (TIES)’, as and when the proposals are received from the eligible agencies.
Following proposals for setting up of Exhibition Centres/Trade Centres have been approved under TIES: -
i) “Establishment of Main Exhibition Building (Phase II) at Trade Cum Permanent Exhibition Centre at Imphal” submitted by Manipur Industrial Development (MANIDCO), Government of Manipur-approved with total project cost of Rs. 15.86 crore and TIES share of Rs. 11.26 crore. First Instalment of Rs. 5.63 crore has also been released on 31.12.2018. As per implementation Schedule, project will take 24 months for completion.
ii) “Expansion of Chennai Trade Centre” submitted by Tamil Nadu Trade Promotion Organisation – approved with total project cost of Rs. 288.16 crore and TIES share of Rs. 20.00 crore. First instalment of Rs. 10.00 crore has also been released during FY 2017-18. Project is at initial stage of implementation.
iii) “Establishment of Trade Promotion Centre at Minto Hall Bhopal” by M.P State Tourism Development Corporation – approved with total project cost of Rs. 49.39 crore and TIES share of Rs. 17.67 crore. Complete TIES share has been released and project is completed.
No proposal for setting up of National Exhibition Centre for Development of Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States, have been received for consideration for providing financial assistance under the TIES Scheme.
