(a) whether cases of attacks/attempts to murder VIPs including Ministers
have been reported in the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof alongwith the total number of such cases
reported during each of the last three years and the current year,
State-wise; and
(c) the effective measures taken by the Government to stop such incidents
in future?

(a) : Yes, Madam.
(b): Information is being collected and will be laid on the
Table of the House.
(c): Security cover is provided to VIPs including Ministers,
based on comprehensive assessment of threat. Based on threat
assessment, categorized security cover of various categories
is provided. In case of specific inputs regarding possible
threats to any VIP, Ministers etc.,the same are promptly
shared with the agencies and State Governments/ Union
Territory (UT) Administrations concerned so that security
is appropriately strengthened.
