have atleast four lane road connectivity as well as double line rail connectivity. It
has identified actionable plans for port connectivity projects, their completion schedules
and financing arrangements.

ONGOING/SANCTIONED RAILWAY PROJECTS

5. Paradip Haridaspur-Paradip 82 456 Fixed line survey link with mines completed. Special and steel plants Purpose Vehicle incorporated. Works started on Luna Bridge and Mahanadi Bridge. Scheduled completion date is December, 2008.
6. Tuticorin Doubling of 62.06 126 Ambaturai-Kodaikanal. Madurai-Dindigul road doubling has been section merged with this work. Detailed estimate sanctioned. Tenders for earthwork, 85 minor bridges, 7 major bridges awarded. Tenders for one mega bridge (Vagai bridge) and earthwork between Kodaikanal- Dindigul also awarded. Scheduled completion date is December, 2008.
7. Kandla Bhildi-Samdhari 223 290 Earthwork and bridge gauge conversion works on Samdhari- Bhimmal (122 km section) is being executed. Scheduled completion date is June, 2008.
8. Paradip Second bridge 3 1430 Work in progress. over Mahanadi Scheduled completion date is June, 2008.

5. Ennore The new chord line 144 435 Project Report for (Puttur – Attipattu) the new Chord Line is under appraisal.

Phase-II:15 km Phase-I : 39.2 -In case of Phase-II, with the approval of NHAI Board, the work was awarded to a Central PSU (M/s Engineering Projects (India) Ltd.). Phase-III:6 km Phase-II : 76.76 -Resettlement and Rehabilitation of Project Affected Families for Phase-III works has been taken up.
5. Tuticorin 4-laning of NH-7A 47.2 231 Cumulative % of work is: 22.4%. Cumulative expenditure upto August 2007 is Rs. 71.02 crore.
6. Cochin 4-laning of NH-47 10.40 106 Cumulative % progress of work is 43%. Contract terminated.
7. New Mangalore 4-laning of NH-17, 37.5 196 Cumulative % progress upto NH-48 & bypass Nov., 07 is 11.34%. Expenditure upto August 2007 is Rs. 28.24 crore
8. Mormugao 4-laning of NH-17B 18.3 80 13.1km completed in May,04. State Govt. could not give land free from encumbrances to take up balance 5.2km of work.
9. Jawaharlal 4-laning of SH-54 14.35 143 Cumulative % progress upto Nehru Port with 6 Nov., 07 is 87.26%. – lane bridge on Panvel Creek. (Package II)
10. Jawaharlal Package. I 30 177 Completed. Nehru Port
11. Tuticorin Four laning of 144 629 Work awarded in Feb., 06, (BOT) Tuticorin-Madurai Agreement signed in Road (NH-45B) July, 06. Cumulative % progress upto Nov., 07 is 23.5%.
12. Cochin Connectivity to 17.2 330 The work commenced in August ICTT, Vallarpadam 2007 with scheduled completion in February 2010. (revised to Rs. 557 crore)
