(a) Details of SC/ST population living below poverty line in 1999-2000, as estimated by the Planning Commission, based on consumer expenditure is enclosed as Annexure-I.
(b) Under the strategy of Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) and Special Component Plan (SCP) evolved by Planning Commission for ensuring rapid economic development of Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes, funds are earmarked out of the Plan Fund available with the States/UTs in proportion to the percentage of ST and SC population in the State/UTs respectively, including Rajasthan. In addition, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Ministry of Tribal Affairs are implementing schemes, as given at Annexure-II, for development of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes respectively.
(c)&(d) The information is under collection and will be laid on the Table of the house.
