(a) whether the Government has any proposal to launch a modified and improved "Green India Mission" in the near future and if so, the details thereof;
(b) if not, the reasons therefor; and
(c) whether this project will be beneficial for environment and wildlife in remote, rural and hilly areas of the country?

(a) and (b) The National Mission for a Green India (GIM) has been launched by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in the year 2014-15. The Government makes constant endeavour to improve implementation of the Mission through revision and updation of the implementation guidelines and instructions.
(c) The implementation of the GIM has the potential of benefitting environment and wildlife in remote, rural and hilly areas of the country.
