Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF THE STATE (INDEPENDENT CHARGE) IN THE MINISTRY OF CIVIL AVIATION (SHRI PRAFUL PATEL)

(a)&(b): Some Airlines do not maintain details related to delays due to `landing restrictions` or late clearance for take off which lead to additional fuel burn. It is, therefore, difficult to workout loss on fuel cost due to the traffic congestion.

(c)&(d): Yes, Sir. The Government have after careful examination decided that Summer Schedule 2007 should be finalised keeping in view approved Winter Schedule 2006 on one hand and the runway capacities of the airports available on the other hand. The summer Schedule 2007 has been finalised accordingly.

(e): No, Sir.

(f): Does not arise.
