Question : FUNDING TO MSME



(a) whether the Government proposes to appoint a committee to examine the financial architecture of the MSME Sector;

(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor;

(c) whether the Government has any details of the funding to MSMEs during the 12th Plan period in each State particularly in Andhra Pradesh and for the SC/ST people by relaxing the parameters; and

(d) if so, the details thereof and the action plan regarding funding to each State during the 12th Plan period prepared so far?

(a) & (b): The Government has announced in the General Budget 2014-15, the setting up of a committee to examine the financial architecture for MSME sector with representatives from the Finance Ministry, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to give concrete suggestions.

(c) & (d): Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises is implementing only Central Sector Schemes under which funds are allocated directly for the schemes covering entire country including Andhra Pradesh. Funds are not allocated to the States for such schemes.

The funds allotted by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises for various major schemes during 12th Five Year Plan are as under:
