(a) the details of amount sought in the revised proposal sent by the Government of Madhya
Pradesh for the development of horticulture crops in the State under Horticulture Mission;
(b) the action being taken by the Union Government thereon; and
(c) by when the required amount is likely to be released?

(a): The Government of Madhya Pradesh has submitted a proposal for development of
horticulture at a total cost of Rs.499.14 crores under Horticulture Mission over a period of five
year from 2005-06.
(b)&(c): The Government has proposed to launch a scheme on National Horticulture
Mission during the tenth Plan. The Finance Minister in his Budget Speech for 2005-06, has
announced the launching of the Mission by 1st April, 2005.
