(a) the total number of registered and non-registered Madrasas in the country; (b) the medium of instruction in these Madrasas; and (c) whether Council of National Educational Research and Training (NCERT) books on Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences are prescribed in the said Madrasas?

(a) As per U-DISE data of Ministry of human Resource Development for the year 2017-18 (Provisional), the State-wise details of recognized and unrecognized Madrasas in the country is given at Annexure.
(b) & (c) Madrasas affiliated with the Madrsas Education Board in respective States follow the curriculum of the school education of the respective States. These Madrasas use textbooks published by the ‘State Textbook Corporation agencies’. If the State follows NCERT curriculum and textbooks in school education, the Madrasas follow NCERT curriculum and textbooks. The medium of instruction also depends on the respective States. *****
