Question : EXPENDITURE REFORMS COMMISSION



(a) Whether any Expenditure Reforms Commission has been set up for reducing the existing wasteful expenditure of his Ministry;

(b) if so, the date and the composition thereof;

(c) the details of recommendations made by the commission so far;

(d) the details of those recommendations which are yet to be implemented alongwith reasons for the delay; and

(e) the time by which these are likely to be implemented?

MINISTER OF STATE FOR PETROLEUM & NATURAL GAS AND PARLIAMENTARY AFFAIRS (SHRI SANTOSH GANGWAR)

(a) The Ministry of Finance in consultation with the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions have set up the Expenditure Reforms Commission for the Government as a whole. No such commission has been set up separately in respect of Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.

(b) to (e) Does not arise in view of (a) above.
