Question : Complaints Regarding Construction of NH-12

(a) whether the Government has received complaints regarding poor quality and non-compliance of the prescribed standards of construction work in the under construction Jabalpur-Tendukheda National Highway-12 in Madhya Pradesh;
(b) if so, the details thereof along with the action taken by the Government in this regard;
(c) whether the Government has received complaints regarding the slow pace of substandard construction Abdullahganj Baitul NH in Hoshangabad district and if so, the details thereof along with the action taken thereon;
(d) the steps taken by the Government to address the said issues and ensure that the projects are completed within the stipulated time period as per prescribed standards of quality?

(a) & (b) Few complaints have been received regarding poor quality of construction work of the ongoing project of Jabalpur-Tendukheda National Highway-12 in the State of Madhya Pradesh. Brief details of complaints and action taken by the Ministry are annexed.

(C ) & (d) The complaints regarding the slow pace of construction of Obdullahganj-Betul section of NH-46 (Old NH-69) in Hoshangabad district have been received. The work is progressing on slow pace due to delay in tree felling activity by the Forest Department, demand of Cross structures for Cross movement of wild life and due to COVID Pandemic. In order to address the issues, the Change of Scope for the desired extra work of Animal underpass has been approved. With the help of Forest Department felling of trees has now been completed. Quality Inspection Team of NHAI has done detailed quality inspection on 05.07.2021 to 09.07.2021 for Itarasi-Betul section of NH-69 (Pkg-II) and found the work satisfactory.
