MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (SHRI ADHIR RANJAN CHOWDHURY)

(a) Yes, Madam. Residents of Vantada village had demanded an approach road through railway land at level crossing No. 203 (km. 308/3-4), Virawada station on Ahmedabad-Himmatnagar section.

(b) It was mutually agreed between Railway and State Government for leasing of 300m X 12m and 90m X 12m strip of railway land on payment of cost to Railways by State Government as per extant rules for making pucca road. Railway has advised State Government on 29.03.2011 to deposit the requisite amount. No response has been received from State Government till date.

However, to reduce hardship of local residents a temporary approach road has been provided.
