(a) whether it is a fact that country is still facing starvation deaths;
(b) if so, the details of the report thereon during the last five years;
(c) whether it is also a fact that recently there were incidents of starvation deaths in Tripura relief camps; and
(d) if so, the reaction of the Government thereto?

(a) & (b): No State Government/Union Territory Administration has reported any incident of death due to starvation. However, a few reports have of-late appeared in the media alleging starvation deaths in some states, but on enquiry, the allegations of death due to starvation have not been substantiated.
(c): No Sir.
(d): In view of (c) above, does not arise.
