(a) the location-wise details of the number of the mines operational under Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL);

(b) the yearly total production of the copper from these mines along with the price thereof;

(c) the details of the quantum of profit accrued, mine-wise and year-wise;

(d) whether any copper plant has been established at Malanjkhand of Balaghat district in Madhya Pradesh;

(e) if so, the time since when it was established and the cost thereof;

(f) the details of the products therein; and

(g) the details of the profit accrued therefrom?

(a): The location-wise details of the number of mines operational under Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) is furnished below:-

(d): In Malanjkhand, Copper ore beneficiation plant (Concentrator Plant) has been established since beginning of mining operations in 1982. No copper Smelter & refinery plant is there. In 2017, one copper ore tailing beneficiation plant was installed to recover valuable metals and minerals from the copper ore tails (a waste generated during the copper concentrate production.)

(e): Copper ore beneficiation plant (Concentrator Plant) has been established since beginning of mining operations in 1982. Installation of the copper ore tailing beneficiation plant started from April 2017 and the party finally failed to commission the plant and the contract was terminated from 31st August 2020 with efflux of time. The cost of the plant was Rs.201.83 Crore.
(f) & (g): Product of the Copper ore beneficiation plant (Concentrator Plant) is MIC and the details has been provided in part (b) and part (c) of the reply. Commissioning of copper ore tailing beneficiation plant was not successful. No profit accrued as the party (technology provider) was not able to commission the plant.
