Question : CORRUPTION IN NATIONAL MUSEUM

(a) whether the attention of the Government has been drawn to the news item captioned `Sarvocha Niyayalaya Ki Swarna Jayanti Pardarshini Mein Bhee Ghapala` published in `Rashtriya Sahara` dated January 28, 2002;

(b) if so, whether any inquiry has been conducted in this regard; and

(c) if so, the outcome thereof and the follow up action taken thereon ?

(a): Yes, Sir.

(b) & (c) : There is no truth in the alleged corruption charges in appointing Commissioner for Supreme Court Travelling Exhibition and for payment for organising the exhibition in Chennai and hence the question of holding an inquiry does not arise.
