Question : Pending Proposals under Rural Schemes

(a) the details of proposals received by the Union Government from the Government of Maharashtra for rural development in the State particularly regarding Osmanabad region during the last two years;

(b) the details of proposals sanctioned by the Union Government out of them and the details of proposals still lying pending; and

(c) the time by which the remaining proposals are likely to be sanctioned by the Union Government?

(a) & (b): The Minstry of Rural Development, inter alia, is implementing Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM), Deen Dayal Upadhyay - Gramin Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana –Gramin (PMAY-G), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) and National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) to bring about overall improvement in the quality of life of the people in rural areas.

Under PMGSY, the State Government of Maharashtra has been sanctioned its full entitlement (24,420.828 km under PMGSY-I and 2619 km under PMGSY-II).

Under DDU-GKY, the State Government of Maharashtra had proposed skill development of 58,335 candidates from 2016-17 to 2018-19, which has been approved by the Ministry in 2015-16.

Under DAY-NRLM, Approach to Goatary intervention in Special Livelihoods Initiative proposal has been approved by the Ministry in 13 blocks of 4 Districts (Osmanabad, Yavatmal, Wardha, Gondia) of Maharashtra with the approved central share of 7.38 crore.

No proposal is pending with the Department of the Rural Development of the State Government of Maharashtra particularly Osmanabad region.
