(a) the details of progress made in fleet acquisition for Indian Airlines(IA);
(b) whether IA fleet acquisition plan has been delayed by at least a year;
(c) if so, the reasons for the delay; and
(d) the steps taken by the Government for the early completion of fleet acquisition plan?

(a),(b),(c)and (d): Pre-Public Investment Board meetings in respect of the fleet acquisition proposal for Indian Airlines were held on 25.4.2003 and 12.6.2003. The proposal received from Indian Airlines could be considered only after the decision to remove Indian Airlines from the disinvestment roster was taken by Government in April,2003. The proposal will be considered in accordance with the procedure laid down for investment decisions in Government.
