Question : AMENDMENT IN REGULARISATION OF AIIMS

(a) whether all the regulations and amendments to regulations under the AIIMS Act 25 of 1956 are made with previous approval of Central Government;

(b) if so, whether any regulation or amendment to regulations have been made and brought into effect by the AIIMS without seeking prior approval of the Central Government in violation of Section 29 of the Act 25 of 1956;

(c) if so, the details thereof alongwith the reasons therefor;

(d) the action taken/proposed to be taken for rectifying such defects and holding persons accountable for such lapses; and

(e) the date of the official Gazette notification in the amendment made to regulation 37 vide Section 29(1) and Section 29(3)?

(a) Yes, Sir.

(b)to (d) No regulations have been framed under Section 29(1) or amendment thereof have been made by the authorities of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi without seeking the prior approval of the Government in violation of Section 29.

(e) AIIMS Regulations framed under Section 29 (1) was notified vide notification No. 12, Part-III Section 4 dated February 26, 1999.
