(a) whether the Government has established any system/infrastructure for detection and
control of unauthorized/illegal constructions in the NCT of Delhi; and
(b) if so, the details thereof and the achievements made so far in detecting unauthorized
/illegal constructions by using such infrastructure/system along with the action taken by
the Government in this regard during each of the last three years and the current year?

(a) & (b): In New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), the Department of Enforcement Building
Regulations (EBR) and in Delhi Municipal Corporations (DMCs), the Building Department has
been entrusted with the work for detection and control of unauthorized/illegal constructions
in the NCT of Delhi. With regard to illegal/unauthorised constructions Delhi Police inform
the land owning agencies i.e. DMCs and NDMC, who take action as per the provisions of DMC
Act, 1957 and NDMC Act, 1994 respectively. The details of unauthorised/illegal constructions,
detected during each of the last three years and the current year are as under:-
