(a): The details of the World Bank assistance provided for the agricultural sector during the
last three years is given at annexure-1.
(b): No, Sir.
(c): Does not arise.
(d) to (f): Monitoring and evaluation of implementation of the projects is a regular feature.
While utilization under all the three ongoing watershed projects in Karnataka, Uttarakhand and
Himachal Pradesh has been satisfactory, the utilization under Assam Agricultural Competitive
Project has been found to be only moderately satisfactory because of slow disbursement and
implementation. The National Agricultural Innovation Project has also been behind schedule.
The reasons for slow disbursement and implementation are being addressed.
