(a) whether any pact has been signed / is likely to be signed between the two countries to supply LPG to North-East States from Bangladesh during the recent visit of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh; and
(b) if so, the details of the likely benefits to be accrued to North-Eastern States and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) & (b): During the visit of Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to India in October 2019, import of Bulk LPG by bullets from Bangladesh was commissioned. This will help improve affordable supply of LPG to our North Eastern States, cater to the growing demand of LPG in the region and improve implementation of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
