(a) whether industrial use of foodgrains is likely to increase in the coming years;

(b) if so, the facts in this regard;

(c) the names of such agro-products; and

(d) the percentage of each such agro-products separately in the total agricultural produces?

(a) to (d): Yes, Sir. There is awareness about the diversified industrial uses of grains for higher profitability and income which may increase industrial use of food grains in future.

Animal/poultry feed, nutraceuticals, biofuels and biopolymers are main categories of products for the industrial uses. However, at present these industrial uses are negligible.
