(a) the number of power projects sanctioned for private and public sectors in the State
of Arunachal Pradesh during the Tenth Five Year Plan Period;
(b) the number of such projects which are pending and the number of projects being implemented; and
(c) the estimated cost of each project?

(a) to (c): Section 7 of Electricity Act, 2003 stipulates that any generating company
can establish, operate and maintain Thermal Generating Stations without obtaining license
from the Government. However, any generating company intending to set up a hydro
generating station shall prepare and submit to the Central Electricity Authority the intended
project details for its concurrence.
Following two hydro electric schemes under the Central Sector have been
sanctioned during 10thPlan; i.e. from April 2002 till date :
