(a) whether Board for Reconstruction of Public Sector Enterprises has decided to close down Bharat Opthalmic Glass Limited (BOG); and
(b) if so, the details thereof and the facilities being provided to the affected employees at the time of closure of unit?

(a) & (b): Board for Reconstruction of Public Sector Enterprises (BRPSE) has recommended closure of BOGL by offering Voluntary Separation Scheme (VSS) to employees at a cost of Rs.8 crores and thereafter winding up the company as decided by Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR). The existing employees will get the benefit under VSS in terms of guidelines of Department of Public Enterprises.
