(a)&(b): The Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying is implementing various schemes for the development of animal husbandry and dairying in the country including Madhya Pradesh. These schemes inter alia aim at genetic upgradation of livestock, preservation of indigenous stock, control of animal diseases, provision of nutritious feed and fodder and extension of dairy development activities. Under these schemes, the funds are released to the State Governments on the basis of viable projects received from them. A statement indicating the scheme-wise release of funds to Madhya Pradesh during 2001-2002 is annexed.
