Question : Digitization of Records in KSCH

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Central Information Commission (CIC), in its Order dated 7 May, 2019 has directed the Kalawati Saran Children’s Hospital (KSCH), New Delhi to develop a robust mechanism for the digitization of all administrative records of the Public Authority in accordance with Section 4 of RTI Act, 2005;

(b) if so, the details and the compliance thereof; and

(c) the steps taken/being taken by the KSCH for digitization of administrative records so far along with the time by which such records is likely to be digitized?

(a): Yes.

(b): A proposal to digitize administrative records has been prepared. Digitization of all hospital activities is covered in e-hospital mechanism and to implement the same, a dedicated unit has been setup.

(c): The unit which is setup with a Nodal Officer for fast track implementation of e-hospital mechanism also covers digitization of administrative records. So far following number of files/records have been digitized in Kalawati saran Children’s Hospital:

b. Guard files - 151
c. Dispatch Book - 109
