Question : War-fighting Capabilities

(a) whether India is considering disruptive technologies as part of its strategy towards improving war-fighting capabilities;
(b) if so, the proposed plan of action for the inclusion of such technology;
(c) whether the Government has plans to formulate any special measures to prevent the trickle down of this technology to non-state actors; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

IN THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE


(a) Yes, Sir. Work is being carried out on some of disruptive technologies as part of strategy towards improving war-fighting capabilities.

(b) Induction of these technologies would be undertaken at an appropriate stage of development as per the existing procurement laid down in Defence Acquisition Procedure (DAP) 2020.

(c) & (d): Yes, Sir. Special measures are in place to control & prevent the trickle down of this technology to non-state actors.
