Question : Delay in Release of Funds under Government Schemes

(a) whether there is delay in release of funds from the Union Government to the State nodal departments for various schemes like MGNREGA, DAY-NRLM, DDUGKY, PMAY-G, PMGSY and NSAP and if so, the details thereof;

(b) the details of the amount of funds sanctioned and released to the States/UTs, for each of the abovementioned schemes so far, State-wise/UT-wise;
(c) whether the installments ar
e also not released within due time and if so, the details thereof; and

(d) the steps taken for the early release of funds so far?

(a) to (d) : The Ministry of Rural Development, inter alia, is implementing Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM), Deen Dayal Upadhyay – Gramin Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) and National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) to bring about overall improvement in the quality of life of the people in rural areas through employment generation, strengthening of livelihood opportunities, promoting self-employment, skilling of rural youths, provision of social assistance and other basic amenities.

The funds under these programmes are released to the States/UTs, as soon as it becomes due, in accordance with the programme guidelines based on their absorption capacity, status of utilization of available funds and submission of required documents in fulfilment of provisions of the guidelines related to respective programmes. There is no undue delay in release of funds to States/ UTs administrations under various Rural Development Programmes.
