Question : Survey List of BPL

(a) whether there is any scheme to provide pension and empower destitute, widowed, abandoned and poor young women by linking them in the survey list of Below Poverty Line (BPL) through Gram Panchayats;

(b) if so, the number of women provided with the benefit of pension and other schemes in the State of Chhattisgarh by identifying and linking them in the survey list of BPL during the last two years and the current year alongwith the details thereof; and

(c) the details of the authority and new guidelines issued by the Government in this regard?

(a) Yes Sir, under Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS), a sub-scheme under National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) of Ministry of Rural Development monthly pension of Rs.300.00 per month is paid to the widows belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL) households.

(b) The total number of beneficiaries covered under IGNWPS in the State of Chhattisgarh during the last two years and current year is as follows:

2018-19 2019-20 2020-21
1,57,955 1,76,601 1,83,076

(c) No new Guidelines have been issued in this regard.
