(a)Whether the Government proposes to have permanent construction on Indo-
Pak border to check cross border terrorism ;
(b) If so, the details thereof, State-wise; and
(c) The expenditure likely to be incurred on the said construction during
2006-2007 ?

(a) : The Government has undertaken construction of border outposts, observation
posts and fence / floodlights on the India-Pakistan border to facilitate guarding of
the border.
(b) : The details are given in the statement enclosed.
(c) : A Budget provision of approximately Rs.250 crores has been kept for these
works during 2006-07.
