Question : Neyveli Lignite Corporation

(a) whether any land is newly acquired for Neyveli Lignite corporation for mining and if so the details thereof including the estimated life of mining in those lands;

(b) whether any recruitment policy has been framed for deceased employee family members during commissioning or expansion and if so, the details of the policy and recruitment details; and

(c) whether the policy followed at the Rajasthan project for the above such recruitment is different from the one followed at Neyveli Lignite Corporation and if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor?

(a): No land is newly acquired during last two years.

(b): NLC India Limited is having a scheme for providing employment to dependents of deceased employees namely “Deceased Employees Dependent Employment Scheme'' (DEDE). This scheme is applicable to dependents of Employee/Contract workman who dies due to an accident arising out of and in the course of Employment as per the eligibility conditions laid thereon.

The details of employment provided to dependents of the deceased employee / contract workmen who died due to an accident arising out of and in the course of employment, for the last five years is given below:-
