(a) whether the Government has made any separate scheme for sportspersons of rural areas under ‘Khelo India’ scheme;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) the State-wise details of the number of sportspersons selected so far under this scheme; and
(d) the details of the facilities being provided by the Government to sportspersons selected under the said scheme?

(a) and (b) No Sir, there is no separate scheme for sportspersons of rural areas, as the Khelo India Scheme covers all sportspersons, including sportspersons of rural India.
(c) The State-wise details of athletes selected so far under Khelo India Scheme are given at Annexure – I.
(d) The following facilities are being provided by the Government to sportspersons under the Khelo India Scheme:
i. Out of pocket allowance ii. Coaching iii. Lodging and boarding iv. Sports kits v. Domestic travel vi. Insurance and medical benefits vii. Sports science management viii. Educational tie-up
