(a) &(b) As a result of changes in technology,new skill trades have been introduced
and obsolete trades deleted both under Craftsmen Training Scheme and Apprenticeship Training
Scheme, based on the feedback from industries and state Governments. The concept of
Institute-Industry linkage through formation of Institute Managing Committees (IMCs) has
been devised for implementation on pilot basis in order to encourage industries to actively
participate and contribute to the development of vocational skill training.
