(a) & (b) The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has in
the past issued advertisements in newspapers informing investors,
inter-alia, about their rights, responsibilities and key terms used
in capital markets. Messages in the interests of investors have been
telecast on national and regional channels of Doordarshan.
A booklet titled âA Quick Reference Guide for Investorsâ has been
published by SEBI and also made available to investors through its
web-site (www.sebi.gov.in). Other information for investors is also
provided on the SEBI website.
Investorsâ Associations registered with SEBI are extended financial
support by SEBI to organise seminars related to securities market
for educating investors and also for publication and circulation
of investor education material.
SEBI proposes to launch a Securities Market Awareness Campaign
shortly. State level seminars/workshops are to be conducted across
the country.
(c) SEBI has intimated that they have not retained the services of any institution or university in this regard.
(d) Does not arise in view of (c) above.
