(a) whether a large number of female terrorists have infiltrated into the country and found to be
active in acts of terror;
(b) if so, the details of cases reported and arrests made during each of the last three years and
current year, area-wise; and
(c) the steps taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) & (b): No, Sir.However, an instance of a Pakistani lady who had crossed over to the Indian
side has come to notice.
(c): The Government has taken a number of steps to strengthen border management and counter
infiltration which, inter-alia, include, erection of fencing and floodlighting along the border;
round the clock surveillance and patrolling by security forces; construction of border roads;
establishment of additional observation/border posts; induction of modern and high-tech
surveillance equipments; upgradation of the intelligence network and inter-agency coordination.
