(a) & (b): The Minimum Support Price (MSP) of paddy fixed by Government of India for Kharif Marketing Season 2020-21 is Rs. 1868/qtl for Paddy Common and Rs. 1888/qtl. for Paddy Grade ‘A’ variety. During Kharif Marketing Season 2020-21, a record quantity of 202.77 LMT paddy has been procured in Punjab at MSP fixed by Government of India benefitting 14.89 lakh farmers and Rs. 38,284 Crore paid towards MSP to the farmers of Punjab.
