(a) whether the Government is taking any steps to form a committee that would look into the concerns of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) such as autonomy and regulatory clearances, in addition to the investment of surplus funds; and
(b) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (b): Government has already issued guidelines empowering Board of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) through the Miniratna, Navratna Scheme in 1997 and Maharatna Schemes in 2010. Guidelines on investment of surplus funds are being issued from time to time since 1994. CPSEs seek regulatory clearances from the authorities concerned as and when required.
