(a) the details of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) closed during the last three years,
(b) whether the Government has done any evaluation of the closed PSUs;
(c) if so, the details thereof;
(d) whether the Government is contemplating to restart some of the said undertakings by providing packages to them; and
(e) if so, the details thereof?

(a) : A Board for Reconstruction of Public Sector Enterprises (BRPSE) has been set up
to advise the Government inter-alia on the proposals of revival/closure of sick PSEs.
Based on the recommendations of BRPSE, Government have approved closure of one CPSE
namely, Bharat Ophthalmic Glass Ltd.
(b) & (c) : The evaluation of a closed CPSE may be done by the administrative Ministry/
Department concerned on case to case basis.
(d) & (e) : Government have decided ‘in principle’ to examine the feasibility of revival
of Fertilizers Corporation of India and Hindustan Fertilizer Corporation Ltd.
