(a) to (c): No Madam. The Section 17 of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009 prohibits physical punishment and mental harassment to the children. Accordingly, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has already issued the advisory/guidelines under Section 35(1) of the RTE Act for elimination of corporal punishment in schools.
