Question : Settlement-cum-Closeout Agreement

(a) whether NHAI has entered into settlement-cum-closeout agreement with Gammon Infrastructure Projects Ltd. in connection with project of six laning of Vijayawada- Gundugolanu section of NH-5 and six-laning of Hanuman Junction bypass and four- laning of Vijayawada bypass in Andhra Pradesh under National Highways Development Project (NHDP) phase-V;

(b) if so, the details and the present status thereof;

(c) whether NHAI has entered into an agreement with some other company to execute the said projects and if so, the details thereof; and

(d) if not, the steps taken/being taken by NHAI for timely completion of the works on these projects?

(a) to (d) The settlement agreement between National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the concerned Concessionaire has been signed. The stretch has now been divided into 04 nos. packages, out of which 01 no. package (i.e. Kalaparru to Chinna Avutupalli) has been awarded and agreement has been signed in January, 2019. Bids for civil works of another package i.e. from Gundugolanu to Kalaparru has been finalized. For remaining 02 nos. packages, the work for Detailed Project Report (DPR)/feasibility study has been initiated.
