MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT (SHRIMATI KANTI SINGH)

(a) to (e): As per information furnished by the All India Council for Technical Education, it has a well-defined process for granting approval to technical institutes and for additional courses/increase in intake. There has been no irregularity or violation of norms in the grant of approval for the above purposes. No institute has been granted any concession and approvals have been accorded on fulfilment of norms by the institutes. However, Committees have been constituted by the AICTE to review the cases where approvals were not granted and to suggest improvement in the approval process.
