(a) the total amount sanctioned for the State of Tamil nadu under the Blue Revolution Scheme, including the number of fishermen benefitted under each subcomponent of the scheme so far; and

(a) and (b) : The Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS): Blue Revolution: Integrated Development and Management of Fisheries implemented during the past 5 years from 2015-16 to 2019-20 provided a sum of Rs.484.93 crore to the Government of Tamil Nadu for development of fisheries in the State. The central funds released primarily includes
(i) acquisition of 682 deep sea fishing vessels to benefit directly and indirectly to about 7000 fishermen, (ii) fitment of 4997 transponders onboard the fishing vessels to create direct and indirect benefits to around 50000 fishers and crew members, (iii) motorisation of 2600 traditional crafts benefiting directly and indirectly about 7800 fishers, (iv) development of fishing harbours/fish landing centres to create both direct and indirect benefits to large number of fishers and fishing vessels, (v) development of 321 units of fish markets/retail market & fish mobile markets to create benefits to about 1500 beneficiaries, (vi) aquaculture activities covering 230 ha area to benefit about 500 fish farmers, (vii) promotion of cages/pens culture in reservoirs and other open water bodies, (viii) establishment of fish/prawn hatcheries, (ix) supply of safety kits to 1667 fishing boats, benefiting about 1667 fishers, (x) assistance for procurement of boats and nets to about 100 Nos Traditional/Artisanal fishermen, (xi) assistance for supply of 887 units of fish transportation facilities to benefit about 2000, (xii) insurance cover provided to average 6.10 lakh fishers annually, and (xiii) skill up-gradation training provided to 7,610 fish farmers & other stakeholders.
Further, the Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying is implementing a flagship scheme Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) - A scheme to bring about Blue Revolution through sustainable and responsible development of fisheries sector in India with highest ever estimate investment of Rs.20050 crores in fisheries sector for a period of 5 years with effect from the financial year 2020-21. During the current financial year (2020-21), the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying has accorded approval to the proposal of Government of Tamil Nadu at a total cost of Rs.69.88 crore with central share of Rs.27.34 crore under the PMMSY. Besides, under the Fisheries and Aquaculture Infrastructure Development Fund (FIDF), Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying has also accorded approval to various proposals of Government of Tamil Nadu to the tune of Rs.857.78 crore for the concessional financing to the State Government as per FIDF guidelines. All these schemes and programmes aimed towards the blue revolution in the country.
