Question : ACP SCHEME FOR CENTRAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES

(a) whether the Assured Carrier Progression Scheme ordered for Central Government Civilian Employees is not implemented for school teachers born on Central Pay;

(b) if so, the reasons therefor;

(c) whether there is any proposal to implement a modified version of assured carrier progression scheme for school teachers born on Central Pay; and

(d) if so, the details thereof? ANSWER

(a) Yes Sir .

(b) Teachers are governed by a separate Scheme of three-tier pay scales with effect from 1.1.1986 hence the ACP Scheme introduced w.e.f. 9.8.1999 for other Central Government Employees is not applicable in the case of teachers.

(c ) & (d): Does not arise in view of (b) above.
