STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO PARTS (a) TO (c) OF STARRED QUESTION NO. 488 BY DR. UMESH G. JADHAV AND SHRI SANGANNA AMARAPPA TO BE ANSWERED IN LOK SABHA ON 06.04.2022 REGARDING SPECIAL TRAIN FROM KISHKINDHA TO AYODHYA

(a) to (c) Yes, Sir. Kishkindha is a village in Gangavati Taluka, served by Gangavati station on Karatagi – Hubballi section. Introduction of train service between Gangavati and Ayodhya is operationally not feasible due to non availability of terminal facilities at Gangavati and terminal constraints at Ayodhya and path constraints enroute. However, introduction of train including Special trains is an ongoing process on Indian Railways subject to operational feasibility, traffic justification and availability of resources.
