Question : Unmanned Railway Crossings in Jaunpur

(a) the total number of unmanned railway crossings in Jaunpur district;

(b) the steps being taken to convert unmanned crossings into manned ones in Jaunpur district;

(c) the details of the number of people who lost their lives in these unmanned railway crossings;

(d) whether any assistance is provided by the Government in case loss of life due to negligence of Railways; and

(e) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b): There are no unmanned level crossings in Jaunpur district. All unmanned level crossings (UMLCs) from Indian Railway on Broad Gauge (BG) were eliminated on 31.01.2019 for safety consideration.
(c): Nil.
(d) & (e): Do not arise.
