Question : UNHRC Report on Jammu and Kashmir

Will the Minister of EXTERNAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state:

(a) the status of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) and its report on Jammu and Kashmir (J&K); and

(b) the details of policy being adopted by the Government with regard to the UNHRC and its activities in J&K?

(a) The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) is a subsidiary body of the United Nations. There is no report of UNHRC on Jammu and Kashmir (J&K).

(b) UNHRC has no standing in J&K.
