(a) to (c): There is no proposal to set up National Advisory Board to suggest ways and means to eradicate malnutrition from the country. However, there is a Prime Minister’s Council on India’s Nutrition Challenges, constituted in 2008 for policy directions, review and effective coordination between Ministries for nutrition. Further, the National Mission Steering Group (NMSG) of ICDS under the Chairpersonship of Minister in charge of Ministry of Women and Child Development would also report to the PM’s Council on nutrition outcomes.
