(a): The request for renaming of Aurangabad airport as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Airport has been received from the Government of Maharashtra along with the Resolution passed by the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.;
(b): The final decision in the matter is taken by the Union Cabinet after due consultations with the concerned Central Ministries/Departments. As decision on renaming of Aurangabad Airport involves consultation at various levels, the exact time to rename Aurangabad Airport cannot be ascertained at this stage.
