Question : PEACE PROCESS IN JAMMU AND KASHMIR



(a) whether the Government had initiated a peace process and proposes to hold talks with separatist groups active in Jammu and Kashmir;

(b) if so, the number of separatist groups active in the valley at present and number of those to be invited for talks;

(c) whether any condition has been put forth by the separatists for these talks;

(d) if so, the details thereof;

(e) whether the Government has taken any steps for political settlement of Kashmir issue with active participation of the political parties and people; and

(f) if so, the details thereof?
